In India, RAK Ceramics has the largest and most modern vitrified tile manufacturing plant in Samalkot in Andhra Pradesh with a manufacturing capacity of 30,000 sq. mtrs. of vitrified tiles. 3000 sanitary ware pieces/day. RAK Ceramics has acquired the image of being a trend setter globally. The company has more than 8000 designs and shades, making it among the largest range of products globally. A wide range of sizes of vitrified and ceramic tiles enables its customers to design an abode out of their spaces. 
 

Aggressive Expansion

RAK Ceramics now has a Joint venture plant in Morbi since 2017. Along with a green field plant in North India, operating since early 2018. We are also actively enhancing our footprint by opening Company Owned Orientation Centres, opening Exclusive and Privilege Dealer outlets and seeping further into Multi-Brand Outlets across the country.

Bureau Veritas Certifications verified the implementation of RAK Ceramics’ integrated quality management system and certified the company with the scope of covering the design, development, production and supply of Vitrified floor and wall tiles. Being a corporate founding member of IGBC (Indian Green Building Council), RAK Ceramics supports the promotion and development of sustainable buildings in India.

The company is committed to practicing environmental stewardship throughout its manufacturing chain – from product design and efficient operations processes – and to playing an active role in building a better community by enhancing the surrounding environment. Organization’s activities improve energy efficiency, reduce pollution, enhance biodiversity and improve the quality of life for both people in the communities it operates in and for its workforce. Sanitary ware division is committed to developing eco-friendly products with a particular focus on water saving (33% saved in water consumption using the latest flush systems in water closets). It recycles natural raw materials to help conserve natural resources and adopts clean development mechanism (cdm) projects to reduce carbon emissions during the manufacturing process.

RAK Ceramics is the first ceramics manufacturing company in its region to produce a global reporting initiative (gri) sustainability and corporate social responsibility (csr) report, based on the latest gri-gr4 guidelines.

RAK Ceramics is a founding member of Emirates Green Building Council, which supports the development of sustainable buildings in the uae. The uae ministry of environment and water (moew) awarded the company with the environmental performance certificate (epc) in recognition of its successful efforts to comply with environmental protection standards and regulations.

RAK Ceramics is a pioneer in introducing hi-tech innovations that are a breakthrough in the industry. A wide range of technologies are used at the company’s state-of-the-art plants including digital printing technology, big slabs, slim, anti-microbial, glow in the dark, double charge, roll feed and other advanced technologies such as granitech, technoslate, twin press, dry glaze and waterjet to name but a few.
