RAK Ceramics voted ‘Best Tile Brand’ at the BKU Awards 2018

RAK Ceramics had plenty of reason to celebrate after picking the prestigious Best Tiling Brand award.

The annual awards, which are organized by Bathroom & Kitchen Update Magazine, celebrate the best in the industry and include retail, product and people award categories. In the four years since its inception, the awards programme has secured its position as a key event on the industry calendar by being the only platform for recognition that is designed for the industry and decided by the industry.

Business director Carl Hearnden echoed this sentiment when opening the awards, saying: “We wanted winning a BKU Award to really mean something – and what could be more important than a stamp of approval from your industry peers?”. Alvin Biggs, RAK UK’s Managing Director commented, ”We’re absolutely thrilled to have received this award from the industry. We constantly strive to offer the very best in quality and design, presenting a complete bathroom solution for the commercial and consumer sector. Our sincere thanks go to the industry for its support and recognition – and we look forward to sharing new concepts and collections over the coming months.”

A clear indication of the value of the awards scheme is the keen participation of individuals from across the sector, as noted by Hearnden: “This year has been a record-breaker, with 513 entries and nominations and over 20,000 individual votes submitted.” Once all of the trophies were handed out, guests had the opportunity to give back in a charity fundraiser carried out on behalf of The Rainy Day Trust.
