Background

Mirdif City Centre belongs to MAF Group, a chain of successful and iconic shopping malls including Deira City Centre and Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. Mirdif City Centre opened on 16th March, 2010 catering to the large community of locals and expatriates living in the suburb of Mirdif. The AED 3 billion shopping centre features more than 400 stores including Home Centre and Home Décor, part of the Landmark Group.

Scope

Home Centre and Home Décor required high quality tiles that were aesthetically pleasing to complement the look and feel of two high- end home interior stores. Given the large amount of footfall expected on a daily basis, the floor tile required excellent slip resistance, minimal maintenance and needed to be highly durable. RAK Ceramics had the perfect range of quality products that could meet the client’s expectations in both aesthetic look and high performance. RAK Ceramics’ strong reputation for supplying tiles to many of the UAE’s top retail outlets and shopping malls made it the first choice supplier for the contractors. In total, RAK Ceramics supplied 6,700 square meters and 1,900 square meters of high-quality Gres Porcellanato floor tiles for Home Centre and Home Decor respectively.
