The use of contrasting colors and materials makes for a dramatic overall effect. Surfaces with a particularly robust sealing ensure that the sophisticated look will withstand heavy visitor traffic. RAK Ceramics Gems and Lounge Series’ were best suited for the areas chosen. A grand total of 42,000 square meters of tiles were laid in the guestroom bathrooms and the hotel's public sanitary facilities. The tiles in question were unglazed, double-coated porcelain for indoor walls and floors. The bespoke measurements of 29.8 x 59.8cm and 9.8 x 9.8cm used meant that the tiles fit the grouting perfectly.
