RAK Ceramics Inspired by Nature with their Newest Wood Art Collection
The eco-friendly line represents the company’s on-going commitment to the environment
Adding to its already extensive portfolio of designs from the subtle to the eccentric; RAK Ceramics, the world’s largest ceramic tiles manufacturing company, announces the launch of its Wood Art Collection, the eco-friendly tiles range inspired by natural wood.
In line with RAK Ceramics’ enduring commitment to conservation – as an integral part of its CSR policy, the collection gives customers the look and feel of real wood while not depleting the natural resources of the environment. Used to create wood-like floor or wall tiles, this alternative to actual wooden interiors means trees are left uncut and consumers are encouraged to become a growing part of the eco-friendly movement.
Made using the latest in digital printing technology that control the colour variation and image pixels to make sophisticated wooden graphics on the tile surfaces to give a pristine finish; each gem in the collection is better than its ‘real’ counterpart, and engineered to last even longer with minimal maintenance.
“The superior strength of our product when stacked up against real wood leaves no room for competition. In our latest collection, we have managed to aid in sustainability on two fronts – minimising the use of real wood and providing a product that will stand the test of time” said Mr. Abdallah Massaad, CEO of RAK Ceramics.
Available in an array of shades and sizes, the Wood Art Collection puts the right to choose in the hands of the consumers – something that can’t be found with real wood. Also advantageous is that the product does not present the pitfalls normally found with using wood, and is therefore termite proof, fire proof, water and stain resistant, abrasions and impact resistant, resistant to household chemicals and, above all, environmentally friendly.
“Low water absorption means our product retains its shape and colour for longer. The entire collection meets the requirement of international quality standards and is resistant to chemicals, frost, fire, moisture, dirt and termites that may badly affect natural woods.”
“This is just another step in the direction of ensuring that we provide our customers with more choice, and more of the products they desire in our quest to continually raise the bar for our industry. With developments such as this, it is now wonder why we are the world’s largest manufacturer of tiles and have become the fastest company since inception to cover an area of a ‘Billion Square Metres of Tiles’ in such a short period of time” added Massaad.
Wood Art Collection is expected to encourage customers to play a role in sustainability and contribute to environmentally-friendly society.
